The 100th Episode: Is a Major War Coming?

In this War on the Rocks Podcast, NSWG member Frank Gavin and others discuss the likelihood that there will be a major inter-state war in the next five years. Most of the discussants agree that the likelihood has increased compared to 10-15 years ago. Influencing factors include the growing spheres of influence of Iran and China, a rise of populism and nationalism in major liberal democracies, and massive technological revolutions. Dr. Francis J. Gavin

Dr. Francis J. Gavin is the Giovanni Agnelli Distinguished Professor and the inaugural Director of the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs at SAIS-Johns Hopkins University. Over the last 20 years he has also held positions at MIT and the University of Texas. He has particular interest in European, Iranian and American foreign policy, as well as NATO and U.S. grand strategy.
