Simin Yazdgerdi Curtis is President, CEO and founder of the American Middle East Institute (AMEI), a national, non-profit organization, which works to build greater business, educational and cultural ties between the U.S. and the countries of the Middle East. With nearly 25 years’ experience, she is active in many civic and business organizations and her expertise center on government policy and the Middle East.

Simin Yazdgerdi Curtis is President and CEO of the American Middle East Institute (AMEI), a national, non-profit organization headquartered in Pittsburgh, which she launched in 2008.

AMEI works to build greater business, educational and cultural ties between the U.S. and the countries of the Middle East, and has hosted many high-level delegations in Pittsburgh and led many missions to the Middle East. At its annual conference, AMEI has previously hosted a delegation of Iranian government officials led by Deputy Minister of Culture for Art Affairs, H.E. Mr. Ali Moradkhani. Curtis has also led, with former Egyptian Health Minister H.E. Dr. Sallam, a delegation of top American companies to Cairo, under the auspices of Prime Minister H.E. Mahlab and Minister of Trade H.E. AbdelNour.   

Curtis is active in many civic and business organizations. She is Honorary Consul of the Sultanate of Oman and is a 2013 Honoree of the Women & Girls Foundation for ‘Women Having a Global Impact’. She also helped her husband, Greg Curtis, found Greycourt & Co., Inc., an investment advisory firm to many of the world’s wealthiest families.   

Her expertise center on government policy and the Middle East.

Curtis is a graduate of Harvard University.
