On December 6th, 2013, the Nuclear Security Working Group’s Iran Futures Initiative convened for a lunch meeting at the Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington, D.C. Chaired by Dr. Janne Nolan of The George Washington University and Dr. Geoffrey Kemp of the Center for the National Interest, this meeting featured remarks from Brandeis University professor Dr. Shai Feldman. Dr. Feldman updated the group on the Israeli view of the recently concluded interim deal with Iran, explaining why Israel is largely unhappy with the deal. The ramifications of the deal on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, as well as the effect of the interim deal on U.S.-Israel relations, were also discussed.
